Compiling on MacOS via the command-line / cmake

Hello!

So I have an ‘old’ project I’d like to compile on MacOS but because I’m on Catalina I only have the x-code command-line tools. I search this forum and cannot find a simple answer to using (c)make to compile a project on MacOS.

Has anyone done it successfully? I reckon so since it is now on GitHub CI but I hope there is a simpler way to get my simple plug to be simply compiled

oh and yes I saw that 2 year old thread that finishes with the sentence that the learning curve is steep… I’m a little afraid…

Creating an iPlug2 CMake module

The learning curve is pretty steep at first, but I’m really liking the repeatability of it. It’s fitting in really well with our CI/CD system (GitLab CI) and making build-and-test on every push a practical possibility. We were doing it before, but keeping the Bash script and Windows batch file in sync (and alllll the project files) was not always easy.
