I am writing open source plugins for a new midi device I am developing and selling. I want to include AAX plugins along with VST, AU, etc. Does anyone know if I need to pay Avid a license/maintenance fee for this? I’m hoping that, because my plugin will be open source that the Avid license fee is not required. I can’t find this information on Avid’s website.
You don’t need to pay, but you would need to become an approved partner… best to email avid support, i don’t really know
